eMEKtek was founded to specialize in assisting the Small Business, Home Office and Individual Computer User to better maintain their systems. Services include System Administration, maintenance, repair and data recovery. I also design and host web sites, intranets, email management, including SPAM blockers and Virus Protection applications. I also offer network design, setup, installation, training and maintenance services.

I have provided consultation and training tailored to the needs of individual companies. Having hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator since 1990, I have intimate knowledge of the UNIX Operating System. Since starting Edmonds Consulting, I have concentrated on support of the UNIX Operating System and Third Party Software Applications on the IBM RISC-6000. I have helped with the installation and setup of Microsoft NT and Windows 2000 networks to work hand in hand with various companies UNIX systems. I have extensive experience in day-to-day operations that include customization of day-end and month-end procedures, system backup, clean up and organization of all aspects of the systems.

Responsible for installation, maintenance and organization of the IBM RISC-6000 Computer System, understanding and implementation of all software and hardware, including the UNIX operating system, and all third party applications. Coordinate all functions with all locations and third party support services, which consist of daily, monthly and yearly backup of the system, inventory counts, inventory value and balance, branch training, and problem solving.

Responsible for the implementation of new UNIX Computer System. Setup of all company options, employee training and creation of system procedures. Acted as the company liaison with all branch locations and software support company.

Responsibilities consisted of the set-up of company options, system security, general ledger accounts, sales-tax schedules, user-base options, salesman module, EDI, and all other aspects of the system.  Also responsible for training and support of  branch locations and up to 100 users.
